Understanding Upper Extremity Injuries

Traumatic injuries can result from falls, sports, workplace accidents, motor vehicle collisions, or other unexpected events. Depending on the severity of the injury, patients may experience pain, swelling, bruising, deformity, numbness, weakness, or an inability to move the affected limb. Some injuries are obvious, while others may initially appear minor but become more serious if left untreated.

A timely and accurate diagnosis is essential to restoring function and preventing complications. Imaging studies, physical examination, and careful evaluation help determine the most appropriate treatment plan. Some injuries heal well with immobilization and rehabilitation, while others require surgical repair to restore normal anatomy and function.

Our goal is to help every patient recover safely and return to work, athletics, hobbies, and everyday activities through individualized treatment and rehabilitation.
